Liposuction

Getting in shape is a commitment that involves setting aside time to work out and eat right. So when it’s not getting you the results you want, it can be frustrating. If there are some areas of fat that just won’t go away, no matter how hard you try, liposuction may be the answer.

What is Liposuction?

Liposuction is a body contouring procedure that removes excess fat from undesired areas on the body. At Restore Health and Beauty, we utilize a minimally invasive form of liposuction combining tumescent anesthesia (local anesthesia mixed with sterile saline) along with a vibrating cannula to gently loosen and suction fat cells from the treatment areas.

Why We Only Use Local Anesthesia?

At Restore Beauty you are relaxed but fully awake during the procedure, which allows you to interact with our physician and staff during the procedure, minimizing the risk of injury that can occur when patients are under general anesthesia. This also eliminates the need for a surgical center and a nurse anesthetist, making the procedure more cost effective for our clients.

What About Loose Skin

In addition to our liposuction device, we use a device called BodyTite. This unique device gives us two additional advantages:

  1. The BodyTite device allows us to heat the tissues under the skin in order to melt the fat, making easier suction and remove event from fibrous tissues.
  2. The BodyTite device tightens the skin (much like bacon shrinking on a skillet) and stimulates the production of collagen over the following 6-12 months making your procedure look better and better with time.

What is a Stem-Sculpt Procedure?

At Restore Health, we coined the term at Stem-Sculpt to describe the combination of two modalities:

  1. Harvesting Adult Stem Cells from autologous fat in order to be used for Regenerative Medicine purposes.
  2. Withdrawing additional fat during the liposuction portion of the procedure for the purpose of body contouring and improving aesthetic appearance. In addition, this fat can then be micronized and re-injected as a natural filler to treat areas of volume loss.

What Else Can I Do With My Fat?

In addition to medical treatments utilizing your own Adult Stem Cells, we can also utilize your fat as a natural filler to treat areas where the aging process has caused volume loss, such as face and hands. This trademarked procedure called the ALMI procedure is very similar to treatments with fillers such as Voluma or Radiesse, but with the advantage of being able to focus on achieving optimal results rather than limiting the treatment based on the cost per syringe filler. Visit the ALMI website for more information about utilizing your own fat as a natural filler.  In addition, we can use your own fat to enhance breast volume as a gentle and more natural alternative to breast implants.

What Can I Expect?

Before undergoing any body contouring treatment at Restore Beauty, you will have a consultation to review your goals and treatment options, answer all your questions, and to ensure that the treatment is customized to meet your individual needs. Once you have scheduled your procedure, our staff will be in in touch and available before and after the procedure to ensure that you are prepared beforehand and comfortable afterwards during the recovery process.

Will the Fat Move Elsewhere?

We don’t make new fat cells as adults except during pregnancy and certain metabolic disorders. Once the fat is removed it is permanently gone. If you gain weight, you will notice the gain more in areas that were not treated, as the treated ares will have less fat.  Liposuction should always be accompanied by healthy lifestyle choices. If you are struggling to maintain your weight, we will likely recommend that you first work with our Functional Medicine physicians.

When Will I See Results?

Results from liposuction can be seen immediately following the procedure with more dramatic results seen 1-2 weeks after treatment once the swelling from the procedure has decreased. Skin tightening improves over a period of months with the improvements seen 6 to 12 months post procedure. Our staff will discuss expectations and timelines specific to your own treatment plan.

How Much Does Liposuction Cost?

Each treatment is individualized based on your anatomy and specific needs and goals. We offer a free educational consultation where you can review all your options, including non-invasive approaches such as CoolSculpting. A typical liposuction of the abdomen costs between $4,000 and $5,500.
